About Joline Renn

About Joline Renn

Joline Renn is an American artist whose work moves fluidly between abstract painting, decorative finishes, and symbolic art. Originally from New York State, she trained in fine arts in Binghamton before establishing herself in Las Vegas, where she became lead artist at Ultimate Faux. Over 33 years, she completed custom finishes and murals for more than 6,500 clients, including commissioned abstract works for casino executives.

Her background in faux finishing — blending empathy, precision, and color mastery — laid the foundation for her current practice in abstract and symbolic art. Joline’s resin and mixed-media pieces combine oils, acrylics, metallic powders, and resin to create layered compositions that shift with light and perspective. Each piece invites viewers to slow down, immerse themselves in color, and discover their own meaning in the details.

Beyond the studio, Joline has taught faux finishing at UNLV for three semesters, exhibited at Art in the Park (Boulder City, NV), and maintained a studio at the Las Vegas Arts Factory until its closure during COVID. She has also presented work at Art 2 Art Gallery and continues to share her practice through projects such as the 123-card art deck Empathic Mirror (2023).

Her philosophy is simple: art should create a connection. Whether through resin, paint, or symbolic imagery, Joline’s work is about transforming space and offering moments of reflection, curiosity, and wonder.
